"Dance, Dance" by Fallout Boy (Performed by Santiago)

I walked backstage, coming back out wearing a black silk shirt, black button-fly jeans and holding a black guitar with a silver face plate.

Since my partners in performance have fallen silent, I felt in the mood for this one so I'll perform while I wait for them to be ready. It's from Fallout Boy called "Dance, Dance"

I start off with the standard guitar beat with the drums letting the guitar almost sound like a bass guitar. This is a very quick song and the lyrics come one right after the other.

She says she's no good with words but I'm worse
Barely stuttered out
"A joke of a romantic" or stuck to my tongue
Weighed down with words too over-dramatic
Tonight it's "it can't get much worse"
Vs. "no one should ever feel like.."

I walked to the edge of the stage and walked down into the audience.
I'm two quarters and a heart down
And I don't want to forget how your voice sounds
These words are all I have so I'll write them
So you need them just to get by

I jumped into the air and landed down on my knees, still playing the guitar.
Dance, Dance
We're falling apart to half time
Dance, Dance
And these are the lives you'd love to lead
I tilted my head to the side and looked at the mortals in the nearby tables.
Dance, this is the way they'd love
If they knew how misery loved me

I stood and walked over to Lestat and grinned
You always fold just before you're found out
Drink up its last call
Last resort
But only the first mistake and I...

I walked away from Lestat my eyes searching the room as I spun slowly in a circle.
I'm two quarters and a heart down
And I don't want to forget how your voice sounds
These words are all I have so I'll write them
So you need them just to get by

My eyes locked on Armand.
Why don't you show me the little bit of spine
You've been saving for his mattress, love

I stepped up on the bar stool and then up onto the bar, walking along it.
Dance, Dance
We're falling apart to half time
Dance, Dance
And these are the lives you'd love to lead

I jumped down off the bar and ran back to the stage as I sang.
Dance, this is the way they'd love
If they knew how misery loved me

I blew a kiss to Armand from the stage and winked
Why don't you show me the little bit of spine
You've been saving for his mattress (mattress, mattress)

I let go of the guitar and slid my hands down the front of my body as I rocked my head back, my eyes closed. My eyes opened and I looked back at Armand.
I only want sympathy in the form of you crawling into bed with me

I grabbed the guitar again and paced around the stage.
Dance, Dance
We're falling apart to half time
Dance, Dance
And these are the lives you'd love to lead

I leaned into the mic, yelling the lyrics.
Dance this is the way they'd love (way they'd love)
Dance this is the way they'd love (way they'd love)
Dance this is the way they'd love
If they knew how misery loved me

I tilted my head again and looked at Anna and Adrien.
Dance, Dance
I looked at Charmed and Julien
Dance, Dance
I looked to Cristala and Lestat
Dance, Dance
I closed my eyes
Dance, Dance

The music ends quickly and I rest my hand against the guitar strings to silence it. Then bow deeply and return the guitar behind the stage before I walk back out and jump up, sitting on the bar.
