You walk in the doors and wonder what really is going on.
Behind her, his hands on the back of the chair, is Santiago... he's decked out in full black tails and his top hat is cocked slightly forward so all you can see is the grin on his lips, his legs spread slightly so that his feet straddle the chair.
Behind him stands Laurent (looking right), Nicolas (looking straight forward over Santiago's shoulder) and Armand (looking left)... all three are decked out in full tuxedo's with tails, top hats, gloves and canes. Laurent and Armand have one hand raised to the rim of their hat.
Without any of them moving, you hear Santiago begin to speak: Outside it may be raining! But in here it’s entertaining!
Nicolas and Laurent both move, stepping out from behind Santiago to kneel next to Eleni's chair. Here we are now, entertain us!
Santiago speaks once more, tossing his hat off to the side of the stage. His legs cross at the ankles and he spins around once, presenting a rose to Eleni over her shoulder. Outside, things may be tragic! But in here, we feel it’s magic!
Nicolas and Laurent move to the opposite sides of Eleni they were just at. Here we are now, entertain us.
Santiago pauses and his eyes lock on the audience. The can-can. Because we can can can!
Eleni smells of the rose as she stands from her chair, all the guys look over at her. Hey sister, go sister, soul sister, flow sister. Hey sister, go sister, soul sister, flow sister. Gitchie Gitchie ya ya da da. Gitchie Gitchie ya ya here.
Santiago takes Eleni's hand and passes her off to Armand as Laurent and Nicolas fake a swoon. Santiago nods at Armand and says Because you can can can! Yes you can can can!
Eleni smiles at Armand, putting her hand on his chin and taking his top hat and putting it on her own head. Gitchie Gitchie ya ya da da. Creole lady Marmalade!
With practiced unison all of the men tug on their tuxedo's and they rip away to reveal tight, low rise, black leather pants and no shirts. Santiago looks at the audience once more. Because you can can can! Because you can can can!
Armand rips away Eleni's dress to show a blood red and black corset and garter, then you see Laurent look over at Nicolas and nod as he says You can bump and grind.
Armand blushes at Eleni and looks at the audience telling them Cause it's good for your mind!
Santiago takes a seat in Eleni's chair as the music stops and they all pose into statues again. You slowly see Santiago's eyes look up, he smiles and finishes with Cause you can can can can can can can can can!
The lights on the stage fade to darkness, you can hear applause then the lights come back up and the vampires all walk off stage and walk around, smiling and greeting all of the customers.
As with the previous Cabaret, you are all welcome to hop up here on stage and perform. The Theatre des Vampires is also here to keep you entertained if you're all too shy, so expect performances from us as well as the evenings of fun and merriment begin!
