Charlotta di Conti - Named for an ancestor of her mother and was called Charlotte by her friends and family. She was something of a hoyden and was reputed to be unkind and difficult to get along with. It is noted that the family had a heard time maintaining female domestics - she was reported to have been physically abusive. She also had a reputation as a notorious heart breaker among men, and was finally engaged against her will to a friend of her father - a wealthy member of the government, Bertrand Reynard. There was a scandal surrounding Charlotta and a man that she entered into an affair with. Little information is known about this relationship. Following the death of her brother, she was reported to have joined a convent where she remained until her death. She had no contact with her family during this time.
